The People We Are
Albert Gardner grew up in the Marmaduke, Arkansas area where his father ran a small town grocery store. He comes from a family of gospel preachers: Claude of Freed Hardeman University, and Don, associated with Partners for Christian Education" before his death. Albert is now serving the Marmaduke Church of Christ as its local preacher, in addition to making mission trips to foreign fields
Albert graduated from Freed Hardeman College with an associates degree, University of Omaha with a Bachelor of General Education degree, Luther Rice Seminary with a Master's Degree in Missions. He has served 17 local congregations in the states, where he was the first preacher for five churches. With his family, he worked in Ghana, West Africa for four years, Bellarus, and recently with South Africa Bible College. He has made about 15 mission trips to India.
Married to Frances Eades Garnder from Kennet, Missouri, the Gardners have four sons, one daughter, twelve grandchildren, and two great grand children. Albert presently spends much of his time writing, believing that the need for literature, in the language of the people where it is being used, is so vital to extend the efforts of the gospel preacher in this short life.
