Truth Versus Tradition

Truth Versus Tradition is a unique study researched and written by Reuben Emperado, evangelist for the church of Christ in Cebu City, Philippines. Brother Emperado raises questions about differences between Catholic doctrine and what the Bible says. Rather than make a strong discussion of the points himself, he quotes direction from Catholic publications and from the Bible, being content to let each one speak for itself. Needless to say, the contrast becomes a very effective presentation of the truth.

Reuben Emperado was born in Tayasan, Philippines, July 14, 1949. He was baptized by Santiago Sameon, Sr. in 1969. 1971 was an important year: he married Evelyn Oliva and graduated from Philippine Bible College. Reuben and Evelyn have seven children: Kenneth (deceased), Philip, Rachel, Neil Reuben, Gary, Ruth Ann, and Michael.

Brother Emmperado is the speaker on numerous radio programs throughout the Philippines, edits Voice of Truth Philippines, directs the Philippines, directs the Philippine Institute of Biblical Studies, and participates in numerous other evangelistic programs.
